After speaking with the father, it became apparent that although the mother was based in the UK, we were concerned that the child may not still be here.
Together with the International Child Abduction and Contact Unit and the police, we sought the relevant orders to allow us to ascertain all of the child’s links in the UK. This included the medical profession. Due to this, we were able to see that the child had been unlawfully removed from the UK.
With the help of the courts, we were able to find the relevant information from the mother’s family, which helped us to discover that the mother had been to the Far East and then moved to Northern Europe. Once we had located the child, the mother then agreed to return to the UK. Through the courts, the father was then able to gain direct contact with his child again.
